The Jed Foundation

Daydreamrr Apparel is happy to announce that we have chosen The Jed Foundation this quarter to donate 10% of our net proceeds to. With so many worthy organizations supporting Mental Health to consider this decision is never a easy one. Taking into consideration our current state with Covid 19 and the tens of thousands of youth affected by a year of isolation and all other circumstances that have come with this quarantine, We found The Jed Foundation close to our hearts. Here is their story...

JED is a nonprofit that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nations teens & young adults. They partner with high schools & colleges to strengthen their Mental Health, substance misuse, and suicide prevention programs and systems. They're equipping teens and young adults with the skills and knowledge to help themselves and each other.  They encourage community awareness, understanding & action for young adult Mental Health.

JED's history:

In 1998 Donna & Phil Satow lost their youngest son Jed to suicide. Since then, they have worked to understand this unendurable tragedy. Although suicide was and continues to be a leading cause of death among young adults, schools had no uniform model for preventing suicide on campus. Campus prevention programs were limited in scope and priority. In 2000, Donna & Phil founded The Jed Foundation (JED) to surmount these hurdles & launch a blue print for prevention. Today JED is the nations leading organization dedicated to young adult Mental Health.
